The community rallies around Pink Arrow Project once again

Lowell, Mich. (WZZM) The BP Gas Station in Lowell is getting involved in the Pink Arrow III Project.  It is donating 5 cents for every gallon of gasoline sold on that day. The BP is located at 403 W. Main at the corner of Hudson Street.

The Pink Arrow Campaign is a community wide event raising money to fight breast cancer.

People who want to participate can buy Pink Arrow Pride T-Shirts for $15.00 at the Pep Talk store on Main Street.  On September 10th the Lowell Football team will all dress in pink jerseys and fill the stadium with supporters all wearing the pink shirts.  T-shirt sales will assist the Pink Arrow Project in supporting the community, Gilda' Club and scholarships.

Here's a list of events for the day:

  • Air bounce activities
  • Sidewalk chalk drawing
  • Volleyball match – 4:30PM (we’re going for the national attendance record again!)
  • Pink Arrow parade
  • Varsity soccer game vs. Kenowa Hills at 3:45PM
  • Pink Arrow football game vs. Kenowa Hills at 7:00PM

People personally touched by cancer also have the opportunity of honoring and supporting a loved one by adding their name to the back of your t-shirt. Add one name for $10, two for $15 and three names for $20. These can be added while you wait when purchasing your shirt.

On September 11th there is a 5k run/walk and kid's fun run. You can download a registration form by clicking on the highlighted Pink Arrow Link.
