Public hearing August 5 for proposed gas station

LOWELL, Mich.—The City of Lowell will hold a public hearing August 5 as it considers a proposal for a new gas station on West Main Street.

Dalane VandenBerg wants to build a BP gas station at 403 West Main Street. The development would include a convenience store and attached car wash with two driveways leading onto West Main Street and one driveway leading onto Hudson Street. The lot is smaller than the city’s zoning ordinance normally allows, so the project will be reviewed by the Zoning Board of Appeals.

A public hearing on the proposal will take place at 7 p.m. inside the City Council Chambers, located on the second floor of 301 E. Main St.
