LOWELL, Mich. (WZZM) You might have noticed a name change on a Main Street business in Lowell.  The Apple Tree Learning Center has switched over to Creation Kingdom. Apple Tree is a franchise and the owner, Dawn Tetzlaff, decided to change over to make the change.  Tetzlaff, who is originally from Lowell,  owns five Creation Kingdom locations in Kentucky.

With the franchise change, Creation Kingdom is able to respond to parental requests for more of a learning based program said Coprorate Director Amy Mester.  Mester says Creation Kingdom follows the guidelines of the National Association for Education For a Young Child. In doing so, the children receive more of an education in addition to the other services, "Everything we do, we want to meet those standards," said Mester.

Creation Kingdom is a Christian based facility and Mester says it's part of the overall program but it's not 'in your face.'

In addition to the new curriculum, Creation Kingdom is also making other changes to improve safety and and 'warm up' the enviroment with different new colorful paint on the walls.
