Zumba Instructors Prepare to Dance all over Cancer!
Zumba Instructors Prepare to Dance all over Cancer!

Walk-a-thons, bake sales and car washes are long-time staples of grassroots fundraising, but a new trend has now emerged that is estimated to have raised millions of dollars for charities around the globe. Zumbathons are high-energy Zumba Fitness class that raise funds for non-profit organizations. Instructors simply donate their time and resources for a charitable cause.

The Zumbathon experience is coming to Lowell, Friday, June 17, 2011. The Relay for Life Zumbathon® will be held at Cherry Creek Elementary 6:30pm - 8:30pm with all proceeds to benefit Relay for Life of Lowell. It will include 5 different West Michigan, licensed, Zumba instructors coming together for 1 great cause. Cost is $10 in advance or $20 at the door.

Zumbathon participants will experience two full hours of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!! But even more important…..It is a group of people fighting back against cancer, as we raise money in hope that one day we won’t have to lose another person to this devastating disease.  The event will include raffles, door prizes and lots of fun!

If you have ever wondered how you can make a difference, then please join us in our efforts to support the American Cancer Society. Cancer touches so many people in our community and a Zumbathon is a great way to help fight this terrible disease while encouraging a fun and exciting approach to fitness.
