Lowell Schools - Superintendent’s News

From: http://www.lowellschools.com

I hope everyone had an enjoyable summer and took the time to rest, relax, and recharge the batteries. Whether your time was spent with family at the beach, sitting around campfires at a state park, or vacationing in some far away destination, or in my case getting dunked in a Riverwalk dunk tank, you may have given thought to the previous year, remembering a special event. You may also have contemplated the days ahead and the excitement of a new school year.

In celebrating the 4th of July Holiday, I had an opportunity to enjoy a campfire with my family late one evening. After the traditional word games, the flaming burnt marshmallow, and putting my boys to bed, my wife Liz and I reminisced about our blessings, which led to reflection about the community and school district that we are so fortunate to live in and raise our family.
