Lowell, Mich. (Adecco Staffing)-- Adecco Staffing is currently recruiting for Magna Mirrors-Lowell Division and will be holding a job fair on Wednesday, July 30 at the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 113 Riverwalk Plaza, Lowell, MI 49331 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

My Town Lowell: Pink Arrow pride on display during Quiver run and walk July 29

LOWELL, Mich.-- Pink Arrow pride will be on display July 29 as athletes take on the Pink Arrow 5k Run & Family Walk through historic downtown Lowell.

The event begins at 7 p.m. at Lowell Gilda's Club.  Proceeds from the event will go to the Pink Arrow Project, which supports Gilda's Club's efforts to help people battling cancer and their families.

My Town: Save lives and help fight cancer during Pink Arrow blood drive July 29

LOWELL, Mich.— Donate blood and help support those battling cancer when a special Pink Arrow drive returns next week.

Michigan Blood is once again committed to donating $10 to the Gilda’s Club of Lowell Pink Arrow Project for each person who signs up to give blood during the July 29 event.  The blood drive will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Gilda’s Club in Lowell, located at 314 S. Hudson Street.

This is the fourth year for the drive, which has generated $5,000 for Gilda’s Club in Lowell. Michigan Blood also says one-third of all blood and platelet donations it collects go to cancer patients.

My Town Lowell: Volunteers needed for large scale emergency exercise

LOWELL, Mich.—The Lowell Area Fire Department is looking for community members to help during a large scale training exercise this weekend.

Volunteers of all ages are needed for the training event Saturday, July 26.  Families, church and scouting groups are encouraged to sign up.  For more information, contact the fire department by messaging them through their Facebook page.

My Town: Restaurant Week GR to include specials from 66 restaurants

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Restaurant Week is about a month away, but you can start making your plans by salivating over the menus.

The 5th annual event runs from Aug. 13 to Aug. 24 at 66 Grand Rapids restaurants. This year, the theme is "Perfect Pairings" to showcase beverages that pair well with foods.

Restaurants are now taking reservations for Restaurant Week Grand Rapids. This year, 44 restaurants will offer 3-course locally inspired menus for $28 per person, including:

My Town Lowell: Pink Arrow Community Day to return July 29

LOWELL, Mich.—The date is set for the return of Pink Arrow Community Day.

The celebration hosted by Gilda’s Club of Lowell will take place July 29.  Pink Arrow Community Day gives community members their first chance to purchase Pink Arrow t-shirts for 2014.  Visitors can also take part in a health fair and blood drive and enjoy kids’ activites and food.

My Town: Chamber releases 2014 Lowell Riverwalk Festival schedule

LOWELL, Mich.-- The Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce is releasing the complete schedule for the Riverwalk Festival, which returns July 10.

The celebration will run two nights and one day.  This year, organizers are marking the festival's 20th anniversary by bringing back the pig roast Thursday night and offering a limited edition festival t-shirt.  The duck race has been replaced with the State Farm Duck Raffle, and organizers have added a Rotary Float-in on Friday night.  The entire schedule is as follows:
