New donation room for FROM

New donation room for FROM

Flat River Outreach Ministries broke ground on December 16 for an addition to the building on Fulton Street East. The new donation room will minimize travel and provide a larger drop off area and sorting room.

Donations of gently used and new items are sold to help fund the ministry. Flat River Outreach Ministries is a nonprofit organization whose mission is serving the people of Lowell in their time of hardship.

Luminary Hike

Luminary Hike

The 12th annual luminary hike was a big success once again this year. The hike which was originally established as a volunteer appreciation event was open to the community.

Families that came to the Wittenbach/Wege Center enjoyed the trail lined with softly glowing luminaries and walk in silence as 250 candles lit the path.

Christmas Box Donations

Flat River Outreach Ministries will be collecting new unwrapped toys and gifts through December 15.

Toy boxed or barrels are in place at the following locations:

Brenda's Hair Design, Dollar General, Fifth Third Bank, Grand River Veterinary Hospital, Rite Aid, Showboat Automotive, Springrove Variety, Walgreens Pharmacy and Lowell High School.

See Santa on the Lowell Showboat tonight

LOWELL, MICH. (WZZM) Santa Claus is greeting children tonight on the Lowell Showboat.  As always Modern Photographics is providing free photos but a $1 donation is suggested. There are also free cookies and hot chocolate in the 'cookie room.'  The line for Santa extends outdoors so people should be prepared to wear their cold-weather gear. The hours run from 5:30 to 7pm tonight and again on Wednesday December 14th and 21st.
