LOWELL, Mich. (WZZM) - A New Mexico man died Sunday after crashing in an ultra-light aircraft that he was purchasing.

The Kent County Sheriff's Office reports that Bryan Bowker, 67, of Edgewood, New Mexico drove to Lowell to purchase an ultra-light plane. He flew the aircraft for a short time and landed. He then attempted a second take-off and lost control of the plane and crashed approximately 350 feet south of the runway of Lowell Airport.
