Detailed bus route information for the 2012-13 school year will be published on the district website’s transportation page on August 24. If you have any questions about busing or changes in your student’s busing information (change of address, phone, baby-sitter, riding status) please contact the Transportation Office at 987-2540.

If your student is new to the district (including new kindergarteners) and they need to be picked up and/or dropped off at a location other than their home location, a phone call needs to be made to the Transportation Office with this information. Current students who have had a change of address or pick-up location for the 2012-13 school year must also contact the transportation department. Caregivers must be in the student’s school attendance area for bus service. The Rider Registration form can be accessed on our website at www.lowellschools.com.

It is the policy of Lowell Area Schools to allow only those students assigned to a bus route to ride that bus. This helps ensure that each rider gets to the proper school in the morning and to the correct location in the afternoon. Exceptions will be made on an emergency basis only. A phone call by a parent or guardian must be made to the Transportation Dept. to allow a change to be made.

Special Education students who cannot travel on regular Lowell buses and need special transportation, as written in their current IEP, will be bussed by KISD/Dean Transportation. Please call the Lowell Special Education Office at 987-2516 if your child’s busing information has changed or if their name has not already been given to Dean Transportation.
