ADA, MI -  The M-21 Bridge, spanning the Grand River in Ada, is nearly finished.  The fourth traffic lane on the bridge should be finished the last week of September, according to the current MDOT construction schedule.

Workers are in the process of removing the temporary bridge across the river.  MDOT says the removal of traffic barriers and restoration of the eastbound turn lane onto M-21 from Pettis Avenue is anticipated by mid-October, and all equipment should be removed from the site by Tuesday, October.  There may be temporary lane closures while the work is completed.

Ada Township is planning to place fill and establish finish grades for the non-motorized trail connections to the pedestrian/bicycle path on the new bridge in coordination with the completion of the bridge this fall. Completion of paving of the trail connection to the bridge this year will be weather-dependent, and may not be completed until Spring 2013.
