Distracted driver takes out pole | News
LOWELL, Mich. (WZZM) - Police say a driver searching for a cell phone went off the road in Lowell last night and ran into a power pole.
It happened around midnight near the Speedway on Main Street.
The impact of the crash snapped the pole causing it to fall onto the car. The driver was not hurt, but she did receive a ticket for careless driving.
Crews were out repairing the pole Thursday morning.
