Pontoon boat removed from Flat River after capsizing Friday night

LOWELL, Mich. (WZZM) A wrecker removed a pontoon boat that capsized near the dam on Main Street Friday night.

The boat remained chain to the bridge over the weekened.  The owner of the pontoon reported engine problems just before the boat hit the dam and capsized around 7:30p.m. People walking along Main Street helped remove the boat occupants and bring them on land.  No one was hurt.

The Kent County Sheriff's Department tells WZZM 13 News the boat was removed today and given to the owner.
