Chris Schwab voted unanimously to the Lowell city Council

Chris Schwab voted unanimously to the Lowell city Council

Lowell has a new City Council member. Rev. Chris Schwab was chosen by unanimous vote as a member of the Lowell City Council to fill the vacancy of Jim Valentine.

He has been minister at First Congregational Church in Lowell since May 2010. Prior to that, he was minister at Kapaa First Hawaiian Church for four years, as well as a counselor and program supervisor at Child and Family Service in Hawaii.

Rev. Schwab has a Masters in Social work from Loyola University of Chicago, a Masters of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary, and a Bachelors of Civil Engineering from Lehigh University.

Lowell Church Shows Warm Hospitaility in Chilly Weather

Last night, as part of a "Ministry of Hospitality," people were welcomed to a Winter Barbeque in Lowell. It happened in the home of Reverend Chris Schwab from First Congregational United Church of Christ, and his wife Rachel. The church hosts weekly "No Agenda BBQs" there every Sunday during the summer, and even though it's a little colder, still pull out the grill for the BBQs that happen every month in the winter.
