The holiday season is upon us, but while many of us are enjoying our Thanksgiving days off by sleeping in and relaxing, there are some that brave the cold weather and dark skies among long lines and anxious attitudes in hopes of getting their hands on the best deals of the year.

If you're one of those brave Black Friday shoppers, we would like hear from you. Please send us you photos along with your name, location, and a brief comment about your experience to MyTown@wzzm13.com for our My Town Black Friday photo gallery to be published early next week.

Until then, good luck and safe shopping!!

Lowell installs new flower beds

Lowell installs new flower beds

Enjoy an Evening of Shopping at Girls' Night Out

This semi-annual event allows the ladies to take over the town!  With  the majority of businesses in Lowell offering specials, as well as serviing a variety of beverages and snacks, these nights, held in April and October, have become favorites in our area.  Each event has a theme, with this fall's being "Witches and Princesses," so if you would like, wear your favorite witch or princess attire.  Costumes are not mandatory, however, in order to have a fun-loving evening browsing through the many shops in Lowell.  We are ten minutes east of Ada and twenty minutes east of Grand Rapids.  Come and enjoy an evening, from 5:00-9:00p.m. on Thursday, October 20th, shopping with your gal friends.  It's a blast!  For a list of specials from our businesses, go to www.girlsnightout.org.
