Come get wild at Bushnell Elementary at 700 Elizabeth tonight. It is "Wild About Reading Family Night." It starts at 6:30pm and wraps up at 7:30pm.

Field teams depart at 8:00 AM with friends and knowledgeable birders. Join us on December 29, 2012 at Wittenbach/Wege Agri-science and Environmental Center, 11715 Vergennes Rd. in Lowell, Michigan 49331. Return around noon for a BYO brown bag lunch. Note that a prepared lunch will not be available this year. At 5:00 PM we gather to tally section findings.

As you meander through the forest on a candle-lit path, you'll enjoy the serenity of the forest at night. If there is snow on the ground, snowshoers are welcomed. If you don't have your own, snowshoes can be rented from the WWC for $4 per person. Afterwards, warm up inside with some hot chocolate while you make holiday crafts This event is free and open to the public.

Join us for a family-friendly program to learn all about bats.

Accepting applications through June 4, 2012

The Wittenbach/Wege Agriscience and Environmental Education Center is currently accepting applications for the 2012 Junior Master Gardener Program. This 10-week program will teach students the ins and outs of gardening through hands on activities and firsthand experiences. Students will spend time in the garden planting various crops, learning how to treat garden pests and diseases organically and harvesting the fruits of their labor. Students will also take three field trips to local farms, greenhouses, an apiary and the Michigan State University's Children's Garden.

The West Michigan Chapter of the North County Trails Association will be celebrating National Trails Day 2012 on June 2. It will be in downtown Lowell from 10am to 2pm.

Come out to the WWC and help us celebrate all Mother Nature has provided us on Saturday, April 21st. Give back to the earth by removing invasive species and making your own rain barrel.
