Photo Gallery | The Odd Couple opens soon in downtown Lowell
the stage still awaits finishing touches but the laughs have already begun during rehearsals for THE ODD COUPLE, the Thebes Players and LowellArts! dinner theatre production of Neil Simon’s comedy classic. Join the fun at Larkin’s Other Place in downtown Lowell the weekends of April 27 – May 12 .
The Odd Couple has been entertaining audiences for nearly 50 years. The play opens as a group of the guys assembled for cards in the apartment of divorced Oscar Madison. And if the mess is any indication, it's no wonder that his wife left him. Late to arrive is Felix Unger who has just been separated from his wife. Fastidious, depressed and none too tense, Felix seems suicidal, but as the action unfolds Oscar becomes the one with murder on his mind when the clean-freak and the slob ultimately decide to room together with hilarious results as The Odd Couple is born.
The Thebes Players/LowellArts! production, directed by Sue Bradford, features John Foley as Oscar, Matt Tawney as Felix, Brent Alles as Murray, Jeff Fisher as Vinney, Gary Brooks as Speed, Dean Borth as Speed, Sue Fisher as Gwendolyn, Leanette Bailey-Tanner as Cecily. Tickets (reserved seating): Dinner & Theatre: $23 (advanced only) / Show Only: $12 in advance & at the door For additional information, visit www.lowellartsmi.org, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call (616)897-8545.
